Small Group Counseling
Small group counseling occurs when needs are determined by parents, teachers, the counselor, or students. Generally, groups are made up of three to six students and are short-term. Small groups are great because they provide a supportive environment where students with similar concerns can listen, share, and contribute ideas with their peers. Topics will vary depending upon the needs of the students.
Some examples of small groups are:
-New Students
-Friendship
-Test anxiety
-Cultural identity
-Divorce/changing families
